A potentially life-threatening condition, ectopic pregnancy, should be diagnosed correctly. MRI is a very sensitive and specific tool especially for uncertain circumstances although ultrasonography is the first choice. MRI might describe pathologic process by its excellent tissue characterization and resolution. In addition, multiple orthogonal planes may be obtained and adjacent organ tissues may be well characterized.
