Süleyman Tolga YAVUZ, Mehmet AK
Özet
Hot water epilepsy is an uncommon and benign form of hypertermia induced reflex epilepsy. It is induced by the stimulus of bathing with hot water pouring over the head. It is reported most frequently from South India, though occasional cases have been reported from different regions of the world. Lowering water temperature and sponging the head instead of bathing is usually sufficient for seizure control. Here, an infantile case of bathing epilepsy triggered by hot water is reported.
