Short-term outcomes of aortic valve replacement with Freedom SOLO pericarbon stentless aortic valve

Özet
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the short-term clinical performance of the Pericarbon Freedom stentless bioprosthesis (Sorin Solo). METHODS-RESULTS: Between 2006 and 2007, a total of 45 consecutive patients at our institution (33 male,73%, mean age 62±12 years) underwent aortic valve replacement with Pericarbon Freedom stentless bioprothesis with a single suture line. 38 patients underwent aortic valve replacement for aortic stenosis (group 1) and 7 patients for aortic regurgitation (group 2). Echocardiograpic parameters for each group were compared. On the third month, no paravalvuler leak or no transvalvular regurgitation more than trivial was detected with echocardiographic examination.
